Over 50 internationally renowned scholars and scientists with vibrant and well-funded research laboratories teach at New York University’s Department of Psychology. Although courses cover a broad range of topics on the science of behavior, mind, and brain, our faculty members also concentrate on areas of expertise such as social psychology, cognition, perception, psychopathology, and neuroscience. Being able to study with instructors who are actively engaged in research ensures that students learn not only about the fundamentals of psychological theory, but also about the contemporary research that continues to drive the field.
